Feet on a bowl Empty
PostSubject: Feet on a bowl   Feet on a bowl EmptyFri Nov 21, 2014 11:18 am

Anyone have any experience finishing the foot or bottom of a bowl so that it has 3 or 4 feet on it instead of a continuous round foot? Is there a way to turn this or do you just cut them out and sand and blend it in?

Pretty much you are going to have to put some elbow grease into it. Cut and sand is the only way I know of, unless you are turning a triangle or square shape to begin with.

Thanks, that's what I figured but wanted to confirm it. I did think about getting a lathe with really bad bearings.
