rikon lathe

Was talking to a rikon rep today and he said the vs midi will be out in about 3mo. It still will have a 1/2 horse ac motor but with inverter. When I asked if we could upgrade the non vs he said the parts are not compatible. However they are going to offer a kit to convert to vs. The kit will have a 3/4 horse dc motor. No firm price yet. He said it should be available in about a month and they are trying to keep the price<$150
