| A few weeks ago, Doug came over to give me a demo on turning a pen from start to finish. Thanks again! Being I already had the mandrel, all I needed were a few more accessories. Well I finally ordered the self centering drill vise, pen press and some pen kits. I have to say, I really like the drill vise, so much easier. The other night I went out and turned 3 pens, averaging 20 minutes each from cutting the wood to pressing the clip on. Not to shabby for a pen noob. I gave one to each of the inlaws before thinking of taking a pic, so you only get to see one of them. I made this one for my wife, it's padauk, and the clip on it is special order. I also want to through out that if anyone has been interested in doing a pen, but has yet to purchase the equipment, feel free to give me a call and we can hook up some time so you too can give one a try. | |

| Actually, if any of you get in to pen turning and want a pen press, I've got a spare I'd be happy to give away. I got a slightly heavier duty replacement for my old one. | |
